2017-August-10: The Simons Collaboration on the Nonperturbative Bootstrap seeks applicants for the position of Research Software Engineer. Our Collaboration focuses on developing new computational techniques for studying and solving nonperturbative quantum field theories. Our techniques draw on computer algebra, high-precision numerical optimization, distributed computing, and many other areas of computer science. This is a one year term position, with the possibility of extension up to three years. The position will be based on the Caltech campus in Pasadena, CA. Please see the job listing for more information and instructions on how to apply.

2017-April-24: Centro de Física do Porto, from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, invites applications for two PhD student positions to begin in the 2017-2018 academic year (preferably from 1st September 2017), supported by the Simons Collaboration on the Nonperturbative Bootstrap. The successful applicants will carry out research under the supervision of Prof. Miguel S. Costa. The primary research direction is in the field of strongly coupled and conformal quantum field theories, with applications to high energy physics, gauge/gravity duality and quantum gravity. It is expected that successful applicants will be available to collaborator with the other scientists from the Simons Collaboration on the Nonperturbative Bootstrap. Applications should consist of a CV, the grade transcripts from attended Bachelor and Master University courses, a short statement of research interests, and two letters of recommendation. Please refer to the listing at inSPIRE for details on how to submit the application. For full consideration, applications should be received by May 19, 2017.
